For parents

Raising kids who are
confident, respectful and safe.

Taekwondo builds more than kicks. Here is what your child will gain, how we keep classes safe, and what to expect on the first visit.

01

Anti-bullying

Kids learn to stand tall, set boundaries, use their voice and stay calm under pressure. Anti-bullying workshops are part of our community program.

02

Safe and supervised

Every adult is SafeSport trained and background checked, and classes are always in view of parents.

03

Better at school

Focus, respect and self-control learned on the mat carry over to homework, the classroom and home.

Questions

Frequently asked questions.

What age can my child start?

Children can start at age 4 in Little Warriors (ages 4–6). Older kids join the class for their belt level, and teens and adults (13+) have their own class.

What should we wear to the first class?

Comfortable workout clothes are fine. Students train barefoot on the mats. No uniform or equipment is needed to try a class.

Can parents watch?

Yes. Classes take place in an open training area that can be seen from the parent waiting area.

Can parents train too?

Yes. Join the Family Class to train with your child, or the Teen + Adult class on your own.

Is sparring safe for kids?

Sparring is introduced step by step, with controlled partner drills matched by age and rank, proper protective gear and close supervision.

How does belt testing work?

Students test when they meet the requirements for their rank: forms, one-step sparring, board breaking, fitness and Korean terms. Master Suarez lets each family know when a student is ready.

Are classes taught in Spanish?

Classes are taught in English and Spanish, so the whole family feels at home.

Where are you, and when do you open?

Eclipse Taekwondo is opening in Southwest Broward. The exact location and opening date will be announced soon. Join the Founding Families waitlist to hear first.
